Why do you need a Business Plan?

November 10th, 2005

When I surf on the internet, I found good articles about business planning.
Business plan has the important role in creating a successfull online branding.

Who Needs It?

Commenting on the study, Ian Macmillan, the director of the Sol C. Snider Entrepreneurial Center at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School said, “A comprehensive and complete business plan is crucial to the success of any business.”

I agree about that. Business plan will make your business more secure and save in the future. Most small business fail just because they feel like business plan is not neccesary.

“People don’t realize that a business plan can save them time,” says Palo Alto’s Berry. “They think about it like people think of a term paper, so they put it off. And in the meantime, they’re losing the potential to do better.”

Don’t you think like that, if we already have a plan to do, we will know which priority was and which is for long term task to do? I’ve already research and doing some conclusion about the business plan inside.

Business plan include some important points to be reconsidered:

  • Business Description
  • Detail Marketing Plan
  • Financial Data
  • The Management Nightmare (this point need more focus)

Do you know something about management nightmare?

In business, one part that affected all part of plan is management nightmare.
A management nightmare is something related to multitasking job.
Human can not afford to do all job together in one moment. You need to manage it!

When you find everything screw up, you will confuse and stress just because you don’t know what to do. Focus is the key to success. If you are not focus and stay in touch with your business, I don’t think you will stay any longer with your business. You will not gaining anything.

That’s why you need a business plan. It will help you to manage all the things related to your business. When you finish your business plan, you just need to follow the plan and don’t waste your time in not necessary things.
